Significance of the temple:
As Perumal scaled the whole world by one foot, those performing Vastu Puja place the sand of their land at His feet praying for all success and prosperity
Devotees pray for success in endavours, promotion in jobs and longevity
The main deity Lord Trivikrama can be seen with His left leg above His head, demonstrating with his right, the action of accepting money, with the finger of his left hand; he performs an action of asking for additional money, that he was guaranteed by foot land. In this temple Goddess Lakshmi is holding the Lord on Her chest. As Lord stands here with one leg on the ground, to help Him balance, Mother is holding the Lord so that He should not feel the pain of standing by one leg. The Kausthuba gem chain on the Lord’s chest is therefore on Mother Lakshmi which is rare.
The Vimana above the sanctum is called Pushkala Vimana
The procession deity is known as Thadalan. In Tamil, 'Thal' means Earth or World, whereas the word Aalan refers to king. Since God travelled the world on foot, called Him he was referred to as Thadalan by Sri Andal.
Lord Santhana Gopalakrishna can be found situated in close proximity to Andal. Childless couples pray to the Lord, who in turn, pleased by their devotion and prayers, blesses them with an offspring.
